Innovation Café: The new ornamental growing

In the past two years the Centre of Expertise Groen (cooperation between the four agricultural colleges) has carried out a major project commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) to make 'Het Nieuwe Telen' even more accessible for entrepreneurs and vocational education. In the Innovation Café The New Ornamental Horticulture on Thursday, October 6, organized by Greenport Aalsmeer, you will hear more about the results of this project, which are very interesting for entrepreneurs in horticulture!

Speakers

Frank van der Helm, researcher horticulture at Hogeschool Inholland, will introduce you to the simulation model and serious game KASSIM. With this model different climate scenarios can be 'played' as a result of which the advantages and disadvantages of different climate recipes in your cultivation can be determined without any risks. He will also update you on the specific research into the application of the New Cultivation in Cymbidium and Hydrangea; Loes Witteveen, lecturer 'Communication, Participation & Social- Ecological Learning' of Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, will take you through the Video based Problem Appraisal: a technique to - literally - visualize the connection between economic, technical and social context of innovation challenges.
