Limburg has no shortage of initiatives, but a shortage of consistency in talent development. At the same time, demand is growing for well-trained professionals in fields such as chemistry, IT, agrofood, health and manufacturing. Talent does not automatically choose the region or technology. This calls for visibility, perspective and concrete opportunities.

CHILL and Meet the Youngsters are therefore starting a strategic cooperation to better reach, connect and integrate talent in Limburg.

Meet the Youngsters brings a strong platform and a broad network to the Euregion, making talent and companies visible and connecting them. CHILL complements this as a public-private organisation in which education and business work together to train, develop and commit talent, focusing on the demand of today and tomorrow.

Together, we thus realise a continuous approach: from inspiring and matching talent to actual intake at regional companies, for talent from apprentice to experienced professional. Meet the Youngsters focuses on visibility and connection. CHILL provides the translation into actual inflow by actively involving companies and education in recruitment and development.

This cooperation makes the difference between reach and result. Talent is not only reached, but actually chooses the region and a future in fields such as chemistry, IT, agrofood, health and manufacturing. Companies get better access to talent that fits their ambitions and projects. For the region, this strengthens the basis under the necessary transitions.

In the start of the cooperation, the Meet the Youngsters platform will be expanded to include an environment for professionals, more active matching and there will be a joint approach towards initiatives, events and projects.

"In Limburg, I see too many new, separate initiatives. Instead, we need to connect what is good," says Dave Beijer, director of CHILL. "This is the only way we can ensure that talent is not only reached, but also enters and grows in the region. Meet the Youngsters reinforces that approach."

Jos Meessen, director of Meet the Youngsters: "CHILL is a logical partner because of its strong position between education and business and its focus on long-term talent development. With our platform, we provide visibility and connection. Together, we make the step towards sustainable matches and concrete inflow."

With this collaboration, CHILL and Meet the Youngsters strengthen how talent and companies in Limburg are connected, with the aim of more inflow and better retention of talent in the region.
