With the new Sprintsubsidie MKB 2026-2027, the Province of Limburg will support entrepreneurs to improve their business processes and make their operations smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. The scheme covers business processes in the fields of digitalisation, sustainability, circularity and labour productivity, among others.
Strengthening Limburg's economy
The SME Sprint Subsidy provides a targeted impetus for Limburg companies that want to apply an existing, successful technology or working method to improve their business processes. Deputy Stephan Satijn: "Limburg entrepreneurs are the engine of our economy. With this Sprints subsidy, we offer SMEs concrete and accessible support to innovate and prepare for the future, with an eye on innovation and sustainability. This is important for maintaining and strengthening Limburg's economic earning capacity."
Future-proof SME
The aim of the Sprints subsidy is to accelerate the future-proofing of Limburg SMEs. €3 million is available for the total programme. The scheme will be open four times:
In 2026:
- 11 May to 11 June
- 21 September to 21 October
In 2027:
- 1 January to 1 February
- 3 May to 3 June

Concrete and measurable improvements
Entrepreneurs can get a grant for up to 50 per cent of the costs with a minimum of €5,000 and a maximum of €24,500 per company. The grant is aimed at improving business processes. The project must lead to a demonstrable and measurable improvement.
The Sprints subsidy has successfully passed the Provincial SME test. The opinions of Limburg entrepreneurs were taken into account when the scheme was drafted. As a result, it has been designed to be as accessible and feasible as possible.
