The Dutch labor market infrastructure is being redesigned. The intention is that starting this year all 35 Dutch labor market regions will have a Work Center where those in work, job seekers and employers can go for help and advice. Our project managers represent the interests of you and other Limburg employers through their participation in the Regional Councils within the three labor market regions of Limburg.

Regional Councils in Limburg

In North, Central and South Limburg, there is intensive cooperation in reforming the labor market infrastructure. Various parties participate in these Regional Councils, including municipalities, UWV, SBB, educational institutions, social partners (FNV and CNV) and the LWV. The LWV represents all employers in Limburg, also on behalf of MKB Limburg and LLTB.

Milestones and plans

These parties are laying the foundation for strategic cooperation within the Regional Council in a cooperation covenant. In North Limburg, this covenant was signed in early July 2025. In Central Limburg, the signing followed in December. The South Limburg region will officially join soon with the signing of the covenant.

All three regions are currently working on a multi-year agenda for the next five years. Based on this, an implementation agenda is being drawn up with concrete activities for the next two years. These agendas bring together various tasks such as economic, social, development, service and cooperation tasks. The LWV is actively committed to securing goals and activities that contribute to a sustainable and future-proof entrepreneurial climate in Limburg.

Three Limburg Work Centers

.

An important part of the labor market infrastructure reform is the establishment of regional Work Centers, by the cooperation partners of the Regional Councils.

The Work Center is the central place for anyone with questions about work. Employers can go there with personnel and HR issues. Job seekers and employees who want to develop or change jobs can get advice and support there. The Work Center connects people and organizations and refers them to the right support.
