On 16 and 17 June next, regions from all over the world will come together in Limburg at a conference of the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), in cooperation with Province of Limburg and the Brightlands Campuses. Ron Coenen, as president of the LWV, will participate in the panel discussion and invites you to attend this special conference. This is what is on the programme:
16 June - theme: Triple Helix Collaboration
The first day of the conference is dedicated to triple helix collaboration, the transition to circular industry, talent development and the power of innovation ecosystems. From Brightlands, they will present initiatives such as Brightlands Circular Space, CHILL and, of course, the campuses. While representatives of cities and regions from the US, Canada, Brazil, Taiwan and several European countries will share their experiences and best practices. A unique opportunity to broaden your field of vision and expand your network.
Location: Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
17 June - theme: Innovation(thinking)
The second day is all about the value innovation(thinking) has for a region. Brightlands start-ups will have the opportunity to explain their unique innovations and we will discuss the value of a moonshot project with the international company. In our case, that is of course the Einstein Telescope. But how do other cities and regions benefit from big goals and ambitions they have? And what can we learn from them? Later this day, the ICF will announce which 7 regions will compete for this year's title 'Intelligent Community of the Year'. Brightlands Limburg is also hoping to secure a spot among these nominees. LWV is co-signatory to the bid book for smartest region.
Location: MECC Maastricht.
Make sure you're there!
In short, a unique moment for administrators, entrepreneurs and policymakers to get acquainted with new networks and international insights around innovation and transitions in cities and regions worldwide.
