Second edition Climate Tech Forum

During this 3-day mission, the Climate Tech Forum will also take place.

In June 2023, more than 500 participants attended the first Dutch-Belgian Climate Tech Forum. After this successful first edition, we are organizing the second edition on May 29.

The Climate Tech Forum is a regular feature on the mission program and aims to:

  • enabling new collaborations between Belgium and the Netherlands;
  • drive knowledge sharing for a sustainable future;

The forum has sector-specific programs, which include professional matchmaking and networking events. The Climate Tech Forum is perfect for making new contacts and starting lasting collaborations. Participants at last year's forum gained important contacts and assignments. Watch the aftermovie of the Climate Tech Forum 2023.

Second trading partner for the Netherlands

The Netherlands exports nearly €84 billion to Belgium. That is more than our exports to the United States and China combined. Belgium is the second largest trading partner for our country, after Germany.

For the Belgian economy, sustainability, innovation and energy transition are important. In addition, Belgium is perfect for Dutch SMEs that are starting their first business outside the Netherlands.

Market opportunities for climate technology

.

Research has shown that there are market opportunities in Belgium for climate and energy-neutral construction, zero-emission urban logistics, and driving and sailing on hydrogen. This mission therefore focuses on Dutch SMEs and start-ups and scale-ups in these sectors. Below you can read more about the market opportunities per sector.

Climate and energy neutral construction

.

The energy transition in Belgian construction offers opportunities for Dutch companies.

.

Zero-emission urban logistics (ZES)

The Netherlands stands strong internationally with innovations in sustainable mobility, especially with our electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.

Driving and sailing on hydrogen

We see opportunities for Dutch companies and knowledge institutions that make driving and sailing on hydrogen possible.
